Annapolis artist, Myra Copus, with nature as a guide, invites you to enjoy her love of painting and the earth surround.

 

I have lived my whole life painting. Stops along the way include B. F. A. from University of Georgia, two amazing Peace Corps years in Brazil, gallery owner and numerous one person shows. Four wonderful kids understood painting doesn’t stop, and we loved each other for it. Annapolis, MD is a longtime home base where I am surrounded by woods and water.

 

Paintings reflect my love of nature. A strong organic statement of beauty is my goal. The story of woods, water and the creatures therein can be told in myriad ways. Oils are done with large transparent washes contrasted by intricate calligraphic detail. Luminous color and textures invite the eye to explore and look again... for beauty. Enjoy.
